Tea party
I was totally excited by The Republic of Tea's new Little Citizens' Herb Teas for kids when the concept was first whispered in my ear at the International Fancy Food show last year. And now, just in time for summer, the stuff is actually here and ready for brewing, icing, and swapping in for sugary juice drinks.

While the Strawberry Vanilla isn't exactly my own cup of you-know-what, I did think the Cherry Apple and Tangerine were quite nice, and more subtle than the sweet aroma might indicate. But more importantly, my kids love them, especially with a little honey. And they argue about who gets to play with the beautiful tin at the table too (which no doubt will end up recycled as some sort of hairband holder or dog torturing device).

They're all made from organic fair trade Roiboos and what's really nice is that $1 from each purchase goes to Room to Read. Also? Caffeine free, of course. Yeah, like what my kids really need these days is caffeine. -Liz

Find the Little Citizens' Herb Teas at all kinds of stores or online at Republic of Tea.
