Air Protect - Car seat safety from every angle
There's nothing like watching an actual safety demonstration to convince you of a car seat's actual safety, and that was just the case with the new Air Protect car seat from Safety 1st after I saw it in action at the ABC Kids Show in Las Vegas.

The seat itself is reversible and supports kids up to 50 pounds. It's equipped with all sorts of handy features, like the easy to use one-click latch attachment system and seatbelt adjuster, plus the genius lower back pad. But what makes this car seat so innovative is the fact that the air-filled Air Protect shields on either side of the head rest lessen the impact of side collisions and protect kids where they're most vulnerable - their heads.

In fact the seat underwent such a vigorous test series, it's actually being used to help develop a whole new standard for side impact testing, which is pretty impressive if you ask me.

While you might think that the prominent shields would hinder your kiddo's ability to hear and interact with everyone else in the car, I'm pleased to report that my children have been completely unphased and continue to fight and whine per usual. -Kristen
