A baby cap with a little more to it
Over the past few years at Cool Mom Picks I've seen the reinvention of the high chair, the baby carrier, the baby bottle and the bouncy chair. The last newborn essential I thought needed any improvement was the baby hat.

Well color me surprised, but Honeydumplings, which created the buckwheat toddler pillow I went mad for last year, has gone and done just that.

Their new baby cap on first glance just looks like a simple, go-with-anything, creamy, gender-neutral cap. Soft as butter with that bamboo cotton jersey or organic sherpa, but you know - still a cap. When you pick it up you'll realize the back of the cap is actually gently padded, with a removeable piece in a hidden inside flap.

In other words, can't put a pillow in a baby's crib? Why not put it right in the hat. So smart.

My one teeny critique is that I could live without the big label on the front. But hey, at least it's an adorable label.  -Liz
