Martha Stewart makes cookies in your kitchen
Every year, I make two kinds of holiday cookies from recipes that have been passed down from my mom. But yummy as the traditional family recipes are, I'm ready to branch out from the same old pecan balls and sugar cookies, and try and start my own new tradition.

Now, thanks to a little help from Martha Stewart and my iPad, I've got a plethora of awesome cookie recipes to choose from and a whole lot of inspiration.

The brand new Martha Stewart Makes Cookies iPad app is an amazing interactive recipe book that's probably as close to having Martha Stewart in your kitchen as you'll get. It features a slew of spectacular cookie recipes quite literally right at your fingertips, from classic oatmeal cookies to vegan nut bars, and a bunch of other fancypants cookies in between.

Beyond the recipes themselves are super cool features -- like a timer that's built right into the recipe itself-- that make this app a must-have whether you're a serious foodie or just a mom with the ocassional bake sale duty. If you fall into the latter camp, the handy instructional video are a joy.

It's like your own Martha Stewart cooking channel on demand. In your kitchen.

The cookie recipes are easy to follow, the photography is gorgeous (as you'd expect), and I absolutely love the shopping list feature, which allows you to pop all the recipe ingredients into a single organized list at the tap of a finger.

It is $7.99 which is not cheap in a world of $.99 apps. But if my the finished products look only half as great as the photos here, then I'm about to score major points with my family this holiday season. -Kristen

You can purchase the Martha Stewart Makes Cookies iPad app at iTunes.com. And for more apps we adore, make sure to subscribe to Cool Mom Tech!
