When we bought our first crib, we listened to everyone who told us to make sure to get one that converts to a toddler bed. But then we had another kid who needed that crib, so we still ended up getting a toddler bed anyway. Truth be told, our kid never liked the thing and just ended up sleeping in a twin bed with rails.
With our third, however, we didn't have enough room for that solution and a toddler bed probably would saved us a lot of heartache and sleepless nights.
