You know Instagram and Hipstamatic have gone mainstream when suddenly there's a rash of square photo frames and photo books popping up on the market, one more lovely than the next. And now I'm so thrilled to see that CMP favorite Rag & Bone Bindery has just served up their own gorgeous offerings as well.
Aptly named InstaBooks, these mini, accordion-style square brag books blend old and new just beautifully. They are as artfully handmade as their other albums (as brides-a-plenty know), with your choice of more than two dozen clothbound covers from elegant linens to pretty florals and several designs just perfect for children and baby photos. Inside you'll find thick, black, acid-free archival paper that's as worthy as any professional photo you own, let alone a fave snapped right from your phone.
They're the perfect size for your 4x4 or 5x5 photos, and even come with photo backings for affixing them safely. (You can add your own photo corners, if you're fancy.)
Now, these aren't meant for your entire unedited camera roll--stick with one side of the album and you've got to limit yourself to your 4 favorite snaps--8 if you use the back sides too. But in a way, that's what makes it so special.
Another thought if it's hard to limit yourself: consider making Instagram collages with each photo (we have a tutorial here), or use a free service like PicMonkey to combine several photos into one before printing.
