The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home: Amazing new personalized children's book
If you want to know how to throw a cool, space-themed party for kids, well we've just done it and we're sharing our most successful ideas here. Having just thrown a NYC launch party for the newest, space-themed title in the highly personalized Lost My Name series of books from Wonderbly, we can safely say it was "out of this world" and "a blast."  (Ha, can't help ourselves.) (Note that this title is no longer available, but there are so many more from our partner Wonderbly) Read on for our tips on throwing an awesome space-themed party of your own. How to throw an awesome space-themed party

First, it helps to have a book like this one to build your space-themed party around. It's designed to help kids get excited about STEM education and science exploration by putting your kid at the center of the story since it's completely personalized around them. And if you're not familiar with the Lost My Name books (now called Wonderbly), they are about the most beautifully conceived, perfectly executed, personalized books for kids we have ever seen. We've bought them as gifts and recommended them to tons of our own friends.

You'll need:

1. A super cool space-themed book, ideally personalized for all the guests. (Duh.)

2. Actual space aliens. From space.

3. Authentic NASA space suits for every kid -- you can also find very good astronaut costumes for kids on Amazon. (Note: Not recommended for actual space use.)

4. Martian antennae headbands for people too big or too small for space suits.

5. An amazing photo booth setup complete with alien photobombs

6. Intergalactic grilled cheese sandwiches - a huge hit!  (Warning: By the end, Pluto was mysteriously missing.)

7. Lemonade that's naturally tinted green, blue and orange; mimosas for the adults. Those were just orange.

8. Mini ice cream in the teeniest, cutest little ice cream cones you've ever seen which means kids can justify asking their parents if they can eat six or seven of them.

9. Freeze-dried astronaut ice cream, which is nothing like the teeny ice creams and therefore doesn't count toward total ice cream consumption.

10. Tattly space-themed temporary tattoos. Because no goody bag should be without tattoos.

11. A massive craft station for creating your own 3-D galaxies and rockets and alien monster whatevers.

12. A space-themed bedroom area for bedtime stories and chilling out

13. Kids' Telescope giveaways for two lucky kids. (Unless you can afford giving them to ever guest as a parting gift!)

14. Kids' names projected on the wall in stars, just like in the pages of the book.

15. Seriously fun, fantastic guests. Which also describes a few of their parents, too.

Thanks so much to our amazing partner, the indie publishers at Wonderbly, and their fantastic personalized books. It's our pleasure to help get the word out about books that get kids excited about reading, science, exploring, and learning all at once.
