I had three kids in four years and learned very quickly how fast kids outgrow their gear. That's why I love companies like Oribel, smart engineers who are creating modern, multi-stage products that are meant to last throughout several developmental stages.
We've praised their designs before, like when they came out with their PortaPlay Convertible Activity Center that goes from an activity center to a play table so our kids can get many years use out of it. Still a favorite.
And now, Oribel is introducing the Cocoon Complete High Chair, designed for kids as young as 6 months of age all the way up to 3 years. As they grow, the Cocoon grows with them -- hence the name, though, thankfully, this chair won't spring wings and fly away.

The Cocoon first starts as an easy feeding chair with a secure five-point harness to keep your squirmy eater in place when you reach that important milestone of starting solids around 6 months of age. I love that the food and cup holder is off to the side and out of baby's reach (genius!) and that the chair can move up and down to six different heights which makes it very convenient for multitasking moms. Then, once your child starts feeding themselves, the Cocoon becomes a more traditional high chair with an easy-to-remove and even easier to clean tray that also can even be stored magnetically underneath the chair for times when you want to slide the chair right up to the table. And if your kids "eat" with their whole body like my kids did, you'll appreciate the wipe-clean foam seat. Too bad you can't just wipe-clean the mashed squash from their hair too. Oribel's new Cocoon Complete High Chair is available on their website for preorder in four different colors and will be ready to ship in May. Please note: Oribel's website shows the Cocoon Complete High Chair used as a recliner but this unit has not been certified for babies under the age of 6 months, which is why we cannot recommend it for use as a recliner. And the company itself only recommends the high chair for use as a feeding chair beginning at 6 months of age.
