My relationship with Kim Kardashian is a bit fraught, so I was pretty reluctant to try her Skims line of undergarments. But after getting bombarded with
Instagram ads after my search for a strapless tube bra, I figured I would give them a try.
A little background on Kim and I: I jokingly blame Kim for the accidental home birth of my fourth child (I was distracted by her show that I missed how close my contractions were), and her
recent advice to working moms was less than stellar. But
she's endured a whole load of BS during her divorce with Kanye, and she has done quite well for herself as a businesswoman, so I have mixed emotions.
What I didn't have mixed emotions about? Two of the three products I purchased from Skims, which are now my go-tos!

First, my favorites, which were the
Fits Everybody Crossover Bralette, and the
Fits Everybody Thong. I have to say that the bralette is super comfortable, but also, gives enough support and lift that I've worn it out and about under sweatshirts and sweaters (I personally might want something a little more "molded" under a t-shirt). And I'm not that small chested (36 D/DD - or Large in Skims sizing), to give you some context. And the thong (I got a large) is just as comfortable, as in it feels like it's barely there but still makes you feel like you've got something on.
And I have to say, for lounge-y type undergarments, they're pretty darn sexy.
Ahem.
Unfortunately, I didn't love the
Fits Everybody Bandeau, which was the whole reason I ordered from Skims in the first place. I will say that I rarely wear anything strapless, let alone anything where I'd need a tube bra, so I'm not super comfortable in those kinds of tops and bras to begin with. It could have just been a sizing issue (I got a large), but for me, it didn't cut me in the best of places.
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the pieces I ordered, and how great I felt in them. So, if you're on the hunt for comfortable,
size and diversity-inclusive undergarments (with earth-conscious packaging, I might add), I have to give credit where credit's due.
