Our favorite festive, budget-friendly Christmas table decor finds
OK, mamas... we did it. Thanksgiving 2025 is in the books. Our kids have been counting down the days to Christmas since mid-October, but now we're joining them. And one area I love to think about is my Christmas table decor for our Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas morning buffet. Christmas Eve for us is a "fancy" candlelight dinner with the  nice dishes, a pretty centerpiece, candles...and Chinese takeout. Then, on Christmas morning, we create an epic buffet while the grandparents come over to watch the kids open gifts. We eat while we open gifts, so this day is more casual but no less festive. I've found some fantastic, budget-friendly table decor items from our go-to shops: Target, Walmart, Amazon. Everything on this list is under $50, and almost all of it is under $30. So if it's time to freshen up your Christmas linens or add some new centerpiece items to your table, here's your chance. We may earn a small commission when you shop through our links, at no extra cost to you. Thank you for supporting our work! If you don't want the fuss of handwashing the real deal, grab these melamine Spode Christmas plates. They are on a massive discount right now. (Target, $28 for a limited time, reg. $70) Whether you're serving tea, coffee, or hot chocolate on Christmas morning, these gingerbread man mugs are so cute and festive. (Target, $5) Add some classic Christmas charm to your table with this evergreen plaid table runner. (Target, $29.99 for a limited time) How cute are these modern, 14-inch acrylic nutcrackers? They're a fantastic starting point for your centerpiece. They come in two colors, and they're shockingly similar to the version from cb2 that are 6 times the price.  (Walmart, $29) Plan for a candlelight Christmas Eve dinner with this twinkling tree lights garland centerpiece lit up on your table. It will be magical. (Walmart, $5.99) If you like vintage charm when it comes to Christmas decor, you don't have to scour Facebook marketplace. You can grab these vintage style reindeer salt and pepper shakers at Target. Check out all their designs. (Target, $23.99 for a limited time, reg. $35.99)   This candy cane snack tray is perfect for little bites, sauces, or ... candy! (Amazon, $23.99) These cute Christmas tree napkins look like you inherited them from Grandma, and they come in a cocktail size too. (Target, $14.99) How about a chip-and-dip bowl, but make it Christmas? (Amazon, $33) Up your charcuterie game with this Sleigh charcuterie board. It's not just cute, it also gives you some nice levels on your tablescape to make it look more interesting. (Target, $25) For that hygge, Scandinavian look, add these beautiful wooden candlesticks to your table scape. They're perfect with greenery and plaid at Christmas, but they're versatile enough to use all year long. (Target, $19.99) If you're planning to serve any bubbly (or, sparkling cider for the kids) these stemless plastic champagne flutes are perfect for a toast. Pro tip: Keep your leftovers for New Year's Eve. (Amazon, set of 24 for $20.99) For your holiday parties, it's nice to have some real Old Fashioned glasses on hand if you're serving drinks. This set comes with two round ice molds (so fun), and you can use them for non-alcoholic eggnog for the kids, too. (Amazon, $11.99)   Are you an "eat while you open gifts" type family? Set these cute Christmas food trays out at your buffet, and you can spend more time with family and less time washing dishes after breakfast is done. (Amazon, $14.99 for 50)
