8 of the coolest (and easiest) holiday crafts for kids

You and your kids will have a blast making these eight super-easy, super-cute holiday crafts we've rounded up just for you.   This Christmas tree craft by LooLeDo is so very cool and colorful--and, best of all, it's made entirely with things you have lying around the house anyway, like paper clips, a paper towel tube, tape, construction paper, a paper plate.   The prettiest solution in the kajillion holiday catalogs clogging up your mailbox? It's amazing how festive and fancy advertisements look when they're all sliced up.   As much as we love the care so many companies take in making sure purchases get to our doors safely, it's always a bummer to deal with the leftover packing materials. In fact, the more imperfect your child makes them, the more charming.   Marie at Make and Takes offers up this very clever snowman craft for kids--what a brilliant use of shredded paper that you'll be getting rid of this time of year anyway. It makes a fun card for a teacher, or just hang it on your door if you can't bear to part with it.   This rainbow dipped pine cone garland tutorial from Liz Stanley is so clever (like everything she does, really). You can dip them in any color really, including gold or white, but I think kids will have the best time when they can pick bright, fun colors. This one is so easy too.   Could these wrapped-yarn wreaths via Christopher and Tia be any cuter? You could seriously decorate the entire tree with enough of these suckers--and all it takes is yarn and styrofoam Os.   You only need two ingredients to make these DIY star ornaments from Simply Kierste: cinnamon and applesauce. Which sounds delicious. When they're finished baking, they're inedible, but the way they make the house smell while in progress is obviously a huge bonus.
