Special gift: Luxury cashmere shrug for girls from Ivory Row
If you're starting to think special gift for a special girl, especially one who likes to dance around the living room to the Nutcracker the second the weather gets nippy (I am familiar with this phenomenon, intimately) then our good friends at Ivory Row have introduced just the thing. The luxury cashmere brand has been so successful, that their customers have asked for something for their own kids. Thus, the cashmere shrug for girls was born.

Designed in collaboration with professional ballerina and celeb fitness guru Mary Helen Bowers of Ballet Beautiful (she trained Natalie Portman for Black Swan, whoa), the classic ballerina styling of the butter-soft, 100% pure cashmere is absolutely exquisite. With, yes, a splurgy price to match. That said, it's far less than you'd pay at a department store, since Ivory Row is the only luxury cashmere brand selling their collection direct to us through their website and cutting out the mark-up of retailers. Even so, it'll run you more than a cotton shrug for sure. Which is why I don't think I'd let my kids pop one on to wear to ballet class then drop on the floor with their water bottles. Instead, I see little girls wearing this sweater over a favorite dress for a party, a special brunch, and certainly all the visits coming up this holiday season. Let alone an amazing cover for a flower girl outfit. (Ooh, how gorgeous would it be over a shimmery silver dress or hot pink taffeta for fall or winter?)   Not that the fanciness of it would stop my girls from putting it over a leotard and dancing around the living room with Tschaikovsky blaring. In fact, they'd probably pair it with a leotard, hula skirt and cowboy boots. Which is why other adorable girls are on the web site modeling the shrug, and not my own. Check out the very special cashmere ballet shrug for girls  at Ivory Row. Sizes start at 18mos and go up to size 4-6.  Also be sure to check out the other exquisite cashmere gifts that they offer for a splurge that never goes out of style.  Extra cool: Save 15% on the new Ballet Beautiful cashmere kids' wrap with discount code CoolMomPicks
